Contrary to colonial buildings and histories there are some traditional beautiful Malay houses covered with pistachio green along with red slanted roofs.

Jonker walk street is filled with boutiques and stalls selling artefacts you cannot give a miss too. Some of the street art paintings dominate the riverside when walking across the river line. Even after you walk through the river line in the daytime, make sure you go for a river cruise on the evening time after the sun goes down. Bridges filled with lights and streets lining the river, making a pleasant and beautiful background to the 40-minute tour.
Try to make your time to visit this place to be outside of your weekends otherwise, you will find yourself with a lot of tourists on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy the happy life, lean back and have a good food in Melaka while enjoying the nature.
How to Reach:
The distance between Kuala Lumpur and Melaka is around 136km. It will take around 2 hours 30 minutes to reach the Melaka Sentral from TBS bus station in KL. Bus Services from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka are always available from Bandar Tasik Selatan Station (TBS Bus Station). Bus fare from KL to Melaka is around 10 – 18 RM. One of the best ways to get Melaka is by taking a bus from TBS Station to Melaka Sentral and then take grab ride or taxi to Christ Church. You can book the buses in online here.
If you are going by renting a car, you will have your own control over what to visit but it’s very expensive for a normal traveller who does backpacking or wants to go with less cost. If you are travelling in a group of more than 5 people, I would suggest going by car to Melaka in and around.
